Lent 3 -- John 2 -- Jesus the Temple

Readings for Third Sunday in Lent, 2009 Exodus 20:1-17 Psalm 19 1Corinthians 1:18-25 John 2:13-22 God delivers the decalogue. Jesus cleanses the temple. Paul comments on the wisdom of God made manifest through the cross. Each points to the particular character of the Christian life, most clearly revealed through Jesus and the cross.
