Palm/Passion Sunday -- Mark 14-15 -- Reality and Order

Readings: Isaiah 50:4-9a Psalm 31:9-16 Philippians 2:5-11 Mark 14:1 - 15:47 The account of Jesus' passion and death as recounted by Mark strips away the illusion that this world is simply in need of a little correction.  Jesus' life of grace, shown forth in his ministry, is responded to by the powers of this world with violence.  And yet, that violence is not the end since Jesus comes to redeem all of those who stand in a broken relationship with God, even those who murder him.
